Pregnant with mirena?????

Hi I have mien a coil fitted for 3 years now.  The threads are very short so can't feel them but had a smear a couple months ago and they were fine.  About 3 weeks ago I was very nausea and put it down to a bug, I can still get nausea and just thought it the end of the bug.   I did a preg test 3 weeks ago which was negative.  I am worried now because my breasts so tender.  I have spontaneous tolerable cramps in my lower abdomen.  I was shopping today and felt generally unwell almost dizzy.  I am wondering could I be pregnant.  I do have polycystic ovaries and I have not had aedile in 3 years.     I afraid I pregnant, cause its party season and have been out and had a few drinks I just dont want to harm baby if I am..........

Hi,
How are you? What other symptoms are present? Some of the side effects associated with Mirena include: headache, breast tenderness, acne, breakthrough bleeding, absence of periods (especially after one year of use), abdominal or pelvic pain, mood changes and weight gain. If  it has been 3 years already, these side effects may be observed due to hormone changes also. To rule out pregnancy, you can check with the blood or serum HCg test and inform your doctor about this for proper evaluation. Take care and do keep us posted.
