Prenatal pills and Birth Control

Will taking prenatal pills and birth control pills at the same time do something horrific to one's body?

I'm on bcp and heard that taking prenatal pills will make my hair grow faster. Somehow, I'm not sure if it's wise to take them both at the same time.

Walmart sells a great prenatal for around 5 dollars for 240 count. The same price as any other one a day with the added bonus of the extra folic acid and such.

Good stuff, I think every woman of child bearing age should be taking them, you never know when fate may have different plans for you : )

There is no problem at all taking prenatals along with BCP. If anything, it makes good sense. Think of it as getting you in the habit of taking those horse pills so when the time comes you want to get pg, you are used to them : )

Yeah, prenatals are just vitamins.  They're fine to take while on the pill; they won't interfere with each other.

Its just a good vitamin, so theres no harm in it.  I see it dispensed that way all the time, BCP and prenatals.  If you dont want to pay for the prenatals then just get a good multivitamin over the counter that has folic acid in it.  There is also vitamins over the counter that are specifically for hair.

I wouldn't take the prenatal pills at all unless you are planning on getting pregnant and getting off the bc.  If you want your hair to grow take something else.  They have vitamins and other pills that help with your hair grow as well as your nails.
