Question for people who have taken Yasmin birth control pill

Has or is anyone here taking Yasmin birth control pills?  Did you experience hair loss or weight gain?  I'm about to start it and fear these two side effects.  Also, if you had acne before, did it help the acne?

I have taken Yasmin, and I find it did clear up my mild-moderate acne. I didn't experience any hair loss, and I didn't notice weight gain, but I've now been off of it for almost a month, and I have noticed some weight loss, even though I have been eating normally, so maybe I did gain some weight??? Another thing about Yasmin, and birth control in general, for anyone who reads this, DO NOT smoke! I'm only 20 years old, and as a result of smoking on the pill(only about 5-7 cigs a day) I recently found out I have a blood clot in my lungs (pulmonary embolism.)Yasmin is a low hormone pill, there's no history of blood clots in my family, and I didn't smoke that much, so I figured the risk wasn't that great. I just want people to be aware that, as corny as it sounds, it can happen to you!

I think, in general, BC pills can put additional pounds on women.  Most that I know did gain some weight with using the pill.  I've never heard of hair loss caused by the pill, and, yes, some BC pills do help with acne.  I was on OrthoTricylen, and it did help.  I wouldn't worry too much about the weight gain.  It's less weight than what you'd put on if you got pregnant!
