Really bad bleeding, clots, and severe cramping...also IUD

Okay so I had my IUD removed 4 or 5 days ago....no bleeding after removal, meaning everything was fine...no tearing...

So 2 days ago I start bleeding, which could be normal right? So I thought no problem....until the sever cramping set in, like I felt like I was having contractions from child birth, I am bleeding so much that I can't keep a tampon in, I have to wear both a tampon and pad because the damn things keep overfilling in like an hour....I was having a LOT of clumps, but nothing tooo irregular, that I couldn't deal with.

Then today.....My second day of bleeding.....I was having even heavier flow of blood, and was having a hard time keeping up with it, and I went to the bathroom to change a tampon and out plops(sorry for how this sounds) a blood clot about the size of two golf balls, It was the most disgusting and horrifying thing i have ever seen and i have given birth to two children via c-section....

Shortly afterwards, I was driving along and had to stop at a Walgreen's, since it was the closest place to go to the bathroom, and I passed another clot about the size of just one golf ball, but it was still so huge! I could not believe what was coming out of me. The pain is enough to make you double over and not walk, it almost makes you dizzy...its horrible..

I am scared that I may have been pregnant and not known it, and the reason is, is because honestly, I have been feeling like I was pregnant...hence why I removed the IUD.

For all of you who think that you can not remove your own IUD, wrong...you can, and you can do it the same exact way a doctor does it, no problem, and a lot of doctors do not mind if you do it...

And for all of you fixing to tell me that i should just take a pregnancy test....yea maybe I should but you should also know that the entire time i was pregnant with my first daughter, i could take any pregnancy test you wanted, and it would come out negative....

I am really worried, and in pain, and just want to know whats going on..

I have read a lot of stuff already but can not really find something that fit my situation, hence the book i am writing to you.

The bleeding seems to have subsided a little bit, but the pain is still there, really sharp horrible pains...all in my abdomen and mainly lower belly and pelvic area...

If anyone can help, I would appreciate it SOO very much, and so would my husband!
P.s. no insurance, no free clinics, and i hate ers...

Thank you again!
~Jessie~

Wow!!!  ok here is my 2 cents....i had the mirena in for 5 years, was inserted in nov 2007, now i cannot say that 2 of my issues started because if the iud or because in may 2006 i had gastric bypass...it was approx 6 mths after insertion i started loosing my hair and it never stopped, also became anemic and had to have 2 blood transfusions in aug 2009.  about 2 years into having it inserted my annual chk up it was found that the iud string was no longer where ut should be an had made its way into my uterus...after a ultrasound found the iud was where it should be and doin its job there was no need to worry.  then just this year around thanksgiving i was having it removed because it was the 5 year mark and ended up having to have it removed via outpatient because of the string being in my uterus.  while having it in it did its job...no pregnancies, no cramps, a very light period every other month...i loved it for that.  did not know people were havin anemia and hair loss issues and also acne issues which i had as well.  i have my first period since the removal and my cramps are so bad i am doubled over crying in pain and nothing is working....i almost want it back in just so the pain will stop.  i think i suffered from the moodiness and depression as well.  i dont know what to do....it has been 5 years what other options do i have???  did the ones that suffered from anemia and hair loss and acne ever regain a normal life or are u still suffering from these things??? please help i almost feel like goin to an er from these horrendous cramping pain.... :'-(

Jessie I am currently experiencing the blood clots, after the removal.  I too have experienced a lot of blood.  Those of you out there that have the iud.............PLEASE REMOVE IT!!!!!
Jessie, I understand that you do not want to go to the ER. But you need to be seen to ensure that you are okay.  Many doctors will allow you to pay on a sliding fee scale.  Call your Ob, or go by the office and find out if you can pay a little at a time.  But please go to the doctor.  Clots are dangerous and so is the loss of blood.  Those of you out their thinking about this form of birth control, please do your homework.  I removed mine because of the pelvic pain, and I'm now experiencing the  large amounts of blood.  Take care Jessie.
