Really strange discharge...

Hello everyone.  I am new to this forum and had a question.  Starting yesterday I noticed a lot of a thick, dark brownish-reddish discharge.  I went an entire month without birth control because I switched jobs and didn't have medical insurance.  I have just started to take it again about 2 weeks ago and I am do for AF to arrive in another week and a half.  This discharge is really scaring me!  While I was off of my bc, I took a preg. test and it was negative, but I had a lot of the symptoms like breast tenderness, frequent urination, fatigue, etc.

Any ideas on what this is and why it is happening to me??

I had that happen to me 3 months ago when I stopped my BC.  It was really strange and the same color and consistency.  It seemed to happen between my awful periods

Having this kind of thing is not uncommon for someone stopping and starting bc.  It could take up to 3 months for your body to adjust.

Probably just your period about to start..missing your b/c pills will have thrown your system off...
You did a pregnancy test and that rules that out..
