Recurring Yeast Infections

I am suffering from recurring yeast infections. I have taken Diflucan and several prescription as well as over the counter medications. After completing treatment and the symptoms go away for a few days, the symptoms can reoccur-sometimes within days. What can I do to successfully treat the yeast infections and limit the number of occurences.?

Have you ever been checked for diabetes? Uncontrolled diabetes can cause yeast infections.

I suffer from the same thing (which is the reason I found this website).  I have been to two different GYN and both seem to think it is not a problem and just either call in Diflucan or I take an OTC treatment.  I am not sure what you have tried so far, other drugs, but here are some suggestions (although I do all of them and I still get one per month).

Shower instead of bathe, Stay away from scented products when bathing, let yourself air our as much as possible before getting dressed, there is a vitamin called Primal Defense for Women you can try it is friendly bacteria, eat lots of yogurt, talk to your dr. about taking one Diflucan every week for 4 weeks, have your blood sugar tested b/c it could be a sign of diabetes.

If you get any answers please share, I am fed up with it but the two GYN I have talked to about it seem to think it is normal but when I read up about it on the internet it don't seem to be normal.
