Red Spot On Labia

My boyfriend and I have been dating a year and 6 months and we do have sex. I know he hasn't cheated on me and doesn't have an STD. Right now, I have a small red area on the top of my vagina. It looks like a chafe rash. It's about the size of a nickle and right next to my clitoris on my labia. There is no pus or white head. I haven't been having any abnormal discharge. It has been there for about a week and a half and has had no changes. The only medicine I take is Tri-Sprintec birth control. Within the last 3 day I developed Athlete's Foot from a gym shower but that is the only new psychical change. I have been walking a lot lately and my vagina does sweat a lot. I hope this is enough information. I attached a picture I took. It's not t he best. In person the red spot is like I light red. It's located at the top of my labia. PLEASE HELP! http://www.medhelp.org/posts/new_with_new_subject?forum_id=81#

Thank you very much for your help!

The red spot has gone away. However, now I am having an itchy white discharge. I've made an appointment with my gynecologist for Wednesday, since I am out of town. However, I'll be on my period then because I've finished this months pack of pills. I still want to be looked at, I just don't know if it'll affect the diagnosis. This is the only time I'll be able to see her.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be due to chafing skin and if it is itchy then it can be due to fungal infection. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. Also wear cotton undergarments. Application of mild corticosteroid cream and oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are also helpful. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
