Right side groin pain

Two months ago I had sudden pain in my groin area, on the right inside my hip area. It felt like a cramp or a charlie horse pain, and it came on very quickly and lasted several hours. No specific position eased the pain, all movement hurt, and I pretty much stayed folded over until it subsided. The next day there was no trace of pain so I chalked it up to my menstrual cycle and made a mental note to keep an eye on it in case it came back. The next month it did, but very slightly and stuck around for about a week, just a constant dull ache. This month it has stayed for weeks, just a dull pain just enough to know its there. Activity such as exercise or walking doesn't make it worse, sex isn't painful. It's just there. I had made a joke when it happened that I "pulled an ovary" because that is honestly what it felt like, now I'm wondering if I wasn't kinda right. Could it have been a cyst? Or is it more likely an abdominal tear? Opinions? Thank you.
