My boyfriend will be cooking something with a lot of herbs and oils and he will, ask me do you smell that, it smells alwesome and I will tell him, no I don't sorry. I guess my nose doesn't really work it seems like. Can someone help me please!

You may have a chronic infection and the drainage holes in your sinus are blocked so fluid can't drain out.  You may also have nasal polyps in your nose.  It my also be due to chronic food or chemical allergies.

To start off with you probably need to go and see a good ear, nose and throat (ENT) specialist.  He will be able to do some investigations to work out the cause of your symptoms.  You may also want to consult a dietician and consider an elimination diet in case your symptoms are food related.  A common cause of respiratory symptoms from a food allergy/intolerance is dairy.  Eliminating dairy from your diet may help.
