Sign of pregnancy?

Hi, my periods are irregular and cannot tell from that if I am pregnant.  I'm now 49 days since first day of last period.  The last 2 days I've been feeling hot, like a fever, and slept for 12 hours last night and another hour today.  This isn't usual for me.  I've had a look on the internet and it doesn't really say anything about a high temperature being a sign of pregnancy.  I did a HPT 2 days ago with negative.  Can anyone help me please?

You may have a virus which has further delayed your periods. However, if it is a sign of an infection - keep a close eye on the fever and please get to a dr if you are not improving after a couple of days...you may need antibiotics. I'm not sure if you're pregnant just from those symptoms alone and the hpt was negative. The only thing is if you are very early pregnant and it hasn't registered on the hpt yet. Go to a dr though if they still don't turn up and you are not getting better. Better to be safe than sorry!
