Since start of my Period, vagina hurts when I pee

My period started 2 days ago and ever since it started my vagina really hurts when I pee. Sometimes it also has that sharp throbbing pain.  I havent had intercourse for 1 month so It shouldn't be anything about that. Also, I tend to go so often.  What is going on? Thank you.

Sounds like a UTI

I second that it may be a UTI.  If it is, you'll need antibiotics to prevent it from becoming worse.

Oh actually a few hours after iposted this i got a high fever, severe headache, and i had a really extreme cold chills i couldnt stop shaking for at least 20 minutes. I went to the ER, got admitted to the hospital after a half day they decided to prescribe me the antibiotics. It turns out I didnt have my period but I was actually peeing blood. Had blood infection, but the good news is that I went to the hospital just in time before it got worse. Now I only have a slight fever every now and then, it still hurts to pee and there's still blood but i hope in a few days it will be gone.  Thanks for the post! What an ordeal! I don't ever want to get this UTI again.
