Sore lump on bikini line, purplish color

For about a month now, i have had this sort of lump on the right side of bikini line where the thigh and vagina meet.

It's pretty large in length and is sort of purple. When i touch it, it feels like something's under it. With two fingers i can grab the top and bottom of it and move it around a little. it's hard when i touch it. it's sore to the touch but doesn't really hurt when i walk.

i don't think it's an ingrown hair because i don't shave. i've had one of these before on the other side of my bikini line that was really painful and i applied an antibiotic and it left rather quickly. i've been applying the same cream on this other one but it's stayed there for a month.

is this something that has to be surgically removed? what are some other home remedies i could try out? any help would be appreciated, thank you!

It could still be an ingrown hair caused by the friction of your bathing suit or bikini (or whatever) rubbing in that area.  I'd leave it alone and not play with it for fear of getting it infected.   And if it gets hot to the touch or doesn't go away, head to the doctor.  good luck
