Taking the Pill to stop in-between bleeding

Is it possible to stop in-bewteen bleeding while on the pill by taking extra doses of the pill? I have been on for several years and every time I skip the fourth week I still bleed. Could I possibly shock my body with extra estrogen?

Look into Seasonique, it is a BC that has four periods a year instead of your normal ten to twelve.
