Took two birth control packs back to back...now no period!? Suggestions!

So, to make a long story short In March I stared taking my birth control again after being off of it for two months. I was going on vacation in April and I didn't want to be on my period. So, I started my new birth control pack during the placebo week in April to avoid getting my period. I still ended up getting my period however, but it was very light. Well my placebo week for the second pack was last week and I never got my period and this week is technically suppose to be the real week I got my period and it still hasn't shown. Is it possible it hasn't shown because me taking my birth control packs back to back has thrown it off?

Also, I am not pregnant because even with me still being on birth control I always use condoms. So, no worry about that.

Any suggestions or ideas would be great.

Hmm.  Is there any way you could see your gynecologist?  It is truly strange to me that your period did not come at all during the placebo week.  It should have regardless of taking it back to back.

I'm actually not on the placebo pills anymore that was last week. This week on Sunday I started a new pack of pills and my period still hasn't shown. That's why I was thinking maybe taking two packs back to back has caused for such a delay in my period.

I take my pill packs so I only have a period every four months.  I've never missed a period.  Breakthrough bleeding seems to be especially happy to pop up if I take a pill a few hours late, which has happened maybe once in forever since I set a cell phone alarm, so I'm not surprised that you had some breakthrough bleeding.  I am surprised, however, that your period isn't here as it should have been very eager to come with the stop in hormones.  What day of the placebo pills are you on?  Some months I've gotten it later than my normal day three of placebos.

So long as you took the pills at the same time daily without missing and no condoms broke without you noticing, pregnancy is most likely not the answer, as you are aware.  Did you consult your doctor before doing this?  I'm just guessing, but I would say it's possible certain pills couldn't be used the back-to-back way very well (tri-phasic pills, for example).
