Ttc please help.

My huband and I have been ttc for just over a year now, I have had a fertility work up and an u/s. Everything except my prolactin levels came back normal. My husbands sperm count was slightly low but my obgyn said It was nothing to worry about. I started my first round of Clomid last month cd 2-6.  I am however , feeling pretty lost here. I had become pregnant a few years ago but had to have the baby removed due to pain and the hormone levels spiking to 3x the amount they should have been. I have not been able to concieve sense that point. My obgyn is not providing me with all of the infromation I would like though. Do you have any suggestions of things I should be asking about or considering. I have not had another u/s sense the fertlity work up.

I had an hsg done and it came back normal as well. My doc has me set for five months of the Clomid and regular blood work and then he will talk about more options he said. I've been concerned because of the last pregnancy and the fact that I had intestinal surgery so the doc is refusing to do a lap or anything other than the pills even though it's been several years of this as well as pain and irregular periods that had seemed to clear up with bc.

Hello,
Common causes of infertility in female are endometriosis, ovulation problem, pelvic inflammatory disease, poor egg quality, polycystic ovarian syndrome, damaged or blocked fallopian tubes etc. In male reason for infertility are related to sperm (azoospermia, oligospermia), problem with sperm delivery, due to sexual dysfunction, and an obstruction etc. Apart from blood work, you also need to get an ultrasound uterus done to rule out these causes. High prolactin levels also need to be explored.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
