Tubal ligations with clips

I had my tubes tied about four years ago. The doctor used clips. I have had two xrays and a cat scan because I am having pain in the abdominal area and above the abdominal area. The clip has migrated to the abdominal area. When I called my ob-gyn doctor, his nurse called back saying that the doctor said, "this happens all the time; we just leave them alone." Is this true? Can these clips cause damage to any of the organs or anywhere else? Is it safe to leave them floating around in my body?

Yes, get an xray immediately. I've been dealing with mine for over a year and a half being told I was crazy. An xray was all it took to find both my clips on the left side. My pain had come and gone but now won't go. I well be having mine sugically removed. Asap
