UTI

This is becoming a cycle. A month ago i had UTI/urinary tract infection w/discomfort, difficulty urinating. After the course of antibiotics it seemed to disappear, but yesterday i had gas like stomach w/heavy feeling in lower abdomen. i'm about to have period, so i dont know if the pain is related, but the story repeated again. My doc will be back in town Monday only, can i last that long? Taking uristat for now, but the pain comes back occasionally. Did  anyone experience this?
Thank you for any input!

I am so sorry I didn't reply. I usually check after I posted something, but I must have looked over your reply. I hope you were OK. If you need it in the future, the test I liked was from First Response. Uriscreen.

Thank you for response!
Can you, please, mention the name or brand of test?
I really do appreciate your help.

The first year of my marriage I had almost constant UTI's. I know that for me it could get really bad in a couple of hours (pain, fever) unless I got antibiotics right away. When I lived in Belgium, my dr. just gave me a supply (once you've had an UTI, you know what it is and when you have your period they can't test it anyway, because there is likely to be some blood in your urinesample) and after 4 UTI's here, my American dr. trusted me and did the same. What I would do if I wasn't sure it was completely gone, or was just starting to coming back was to buy a home-test. I don't know where you live, but I got them at Albertsons. My dr. sent me to a urologist as well, but he saw nothing wrong, just "newlywed sydrome" he said ;-) and told me to take a pill everytime we had intercourse as a precaution. Luckily they stopped and I haven't had one in 3 years now.
