Vagina HURTS

My period came a bit late only by 4 days but  I noticed that I developed a small red swollen area on the top of my clitoris. After a few days it started hurting more and more and now just today I'm finishing my period and its an open whitish wound similar to a canker sore. I have also been under a lot of stress and ive been sick around when my period started. I'm 15 and am sexually active however my and my partner both are faithful and definitely do not have herpes. my parents are not aware of my sexual activity with my boyfriend, so i really want to try another method before getting tested for herpes, even though i highly doubt that i have it. i really dont want to have to go to the doctor. has anyone experienced this before and how to treat it so it goes away?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be a boil or a cyst. Boils are caused by infection of the hair follicle by staph aureus. . Hair follicles that are blocked by greasy creams, petroleum jelly, or similar products are more vulnerable to infection. Bacterial skin infections can be spread by shared cosmetics or washcloths, close human contact, or by contact with pus from a boil or carbuncle. Treatment includes antibiotics and incision and drainage and do not touch or pick them up. Also apply warm compresses on the lump. If however the symptoms persist then get cellulitis ruled out from your doctor. Also then get an x-ray done to confirm the diagnosis.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
