Vaginal Discharge

Hi all, I'm 19 years old. I've been dealing a lot with vaginal discharge since about the age of 12. I know it's normal and everything, but mine is horrible. I get a batch of discharge about every day (3-4 times a day-- roughly). It comes in huge clumps, sometimes it's all batched together, sometimes it's slimly and thick. Sometimes it's smelly and itchy. Either way, it's really bothering me. I feel as though some days, I have to wear a light tampon and most days I wear a liner. I've taken the Canesten (sp?) and the Monostats; I've been to the doctors who have taken samples of the discharge, but nothing seems to be wrong. I have a boyfriend, and knowing that I get this much discharge grosses me out. Before me and my boyfriend do anything, I always have to go to the washroom and wipe everything clean "down there". It's so embarrassing. How can I get rid of this?!

Crap everything you just sayed is what i have. Have discharge sickening to me. Glad to know im not the only one with these problems. I'm scared to talk to my mother or anyone to take me to the doctors to get cheaked up. I know these problems arent stds or anything like that cause iv been getting this sence before iv had sex. Also so it comes after your period? I never knew and plain water? or palin water? aha. I really dont want to have to deal with stuff when i get in my 20s and all that..

You are right, its normal. But I know it can be troublesome at times. I also experience a lot of viginal discharge sometimes, (though over the years it seems to have gotten better), and often times I too, have to use a liner and wipe myself clean many times a day. Also viginal discharge is related to your cycle. Sometimes you get more of it (usually right after your period stops), sometimes its thick (like when you are about to start your period), sometimes it even changes colour. But its no reason to worry at all if your doctor tells you nothing is wrong. As far as the 'smelly and itchy' part is concerned, changing underwear more often will help, as I am sure you know. Also do try to wash with palin water. I know it sounds silly but it has worked for me to keep the smell and itching away. Hope you feel better.
