Vaginal Itching, Swelling, Discharge, & Irritation.

Okay, so wednesday aug7th my boyfriend & I had sex that morning. Then, the next day aug8th, my vagina started itching & I noticed there was a yellowish discharge. Yesterday & last night which was Friday aug9th.. My vagina was itching sooo bad & when I peed, it began burning. Then, i noticed... My vagina is freaking swollen!!! Like the labia inner & outer lips are HUGEEEE! It's so not normal looking. Omg, I'm so scared. I put yeast infection cream (External Vuvlar, Miconazole) on it, but I truly believe this isn't a yeast infection from how swollen it looks. I could barely sleep because of this infection. Nothing was wrong with my vagina before we had sex, yet we're the only two people we're having sex with. What kind of infection would this be? Please help! :'(

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From your symptoms vaginitis and STD’s like trichomoniasis need to be ruled out. Some women have signs or symptoms of infection which include a frothy, yellow-green vaginal discharge with a strong odor. The infection also may cause discomfort during intercourse and urination, as well as irritation and itching of the female genital area.  Lower abdominal pain can also occur.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

to me, it sounds like you have either vaginitis or a yeast infection. the best option would be to make an appointment with your gyno.  i hope everything works out for you, but please keep us posted and let us know how everything pans out.

try not to wash "down there" with soaps that are floral smelling, etc.
