Vaginal Tear

I recently had sex for the first time, and there was some discomfort, but it wasn't too bad.  While we were having sex, though, I felt my vagina stretching and then almost like there was a tear.  This was one week ago, and ever since, I've been bleeding slightly.  It's not as much blood as I would have while on my period, but it's enough that I need to wear a pad every day.  It got better for a while, but then last night I masturbated using spray from a shower head (not inside my vagina) and it's gotten worse since.  Is this something that will heal on its own or should I be worried?

I'm pretty sure it's not my hymen breaking.  The blood is definitely coming from inside my vagina.  If it doesn't get better soon, I'm afraid I'll have to go see a doctor, but I don't have any health insurance, so I'm trying to put that off if possible...

it was most likely your hymen breaking. Depending on your personal eslasticity the hymen breaks when you first have intercourse. It will generally cause some bleeding and the best idea in your situation would be to leave the area alone for a bit to give it time to heal. If you give it time you shouldn't have the problem in the future.
