Vaginal burning!! help

OK please does anyone know about a burning sensation in the vaginal .. I have had this for two months.. went to doc he said I  had a natural bacterial infection.. which I  had previously been treating as a yeast infection which had orginally started the burning feeling, took the meds then  the gel and .. now it just wont go away.. I cant stand the burning... NO funky discharge or anything like that no really bad odor, just the  darm burning. Has anyone ever had this and what can I do at home??? any home remedy that will take this burning away????? Please if you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.. this truly cant be all in my head can it ?

Fem-dophilus is a probiotic that can be found in the refrigerated section of your local health food store.

Check out vulvodynia.com,  pelvic muscle dysfunction,   yahoo groups: vulvar disorders

Look at the FAQ section.   Constant vulvar burning with no discharge is classic for vulvodynia.  Constantly treating for yeast/bacterial infections when none is present will only make matters worse.

Call around and try to find a doc who treats chronic pelvic pain.  You should also seek out a physical therapists that treats pelvic floor muscle dysfunction.

To temporarily relieve the pain, try using a cold soda bottle placed up against the tender tissues.  Don't use ice, you may hurt yourself.  Also, plain cotton underwear, no tight pants,  try loose comfortable clothing, no soap, no perfumed tampons or pads.  Use only warm water and your fingers to clean yourself.

I had this also.
First a bladder infection,. then a yeast infection, then it turned out to be a URINE INFECTION. (didnt last all day..but like 4-5 hours a day was horrible uncomfort) Ask the doc to test ur urine for E.Coli or Urinary Tract Infection. I knnow it is so uncomfortable, I was in tears. Wet a cloth with cold water and place it where it is burning. If you can have someone keep it cold by keep soaking it in cold water for you. it will help. good luck

Well, my guess, based on the results of my burning crotch would be a bacterial infection like your dr suggested.  Did he give you anything for it.  My doc perscribes clindamycin.  Unfortunately, these infections reoccur and can be a real pain in the _____ to get rid of.  Some home remedies I've come across...but would certainly do some research on your own...are tea tree oil, and Fem-dophilus (a probiotic located in the refrigerated section of the health food store).  I'm currently trying the Fem-dophilus, but have only been on it for a couple of days, so will have to let you know.  Grace and I were discussing this very thing on the STD forum around 6/25.  You can see what she has to say.
