Vaginal issues :(

This is kind of gross and weird but before I go to a gyno I wanted to get some opinions and see if anyone else has had this problem

Basically about a week and a half or two weeks ago I had an increase in vaginal discharge. It was white (not clear) and had the consistency of wet toilet paper. There was also a lot of it, and I tried scratching the inside of my vagina and it was under my fingernail. That went away after about three days though, and since then hasn't happened

However now, the inside of my vagina itches pretty bad off and on, and when it does it can last like an hour. It's so frustrating and I don't know why it's doing that or how to get rid of it. It also hurts to pee a little, and my pee has smelled really weird (like smoked ham or meat or something?) when I wipe it's a little brown on the toilet paper, and it smells weird too. It's very faintly brown, but it's not urine because my urine is yellow. I'm also not on my period so it's not blood.

The only medication I take is birth control, and I've never had this issue in the past so I don't think it's that. I was tested for a UTI and it came up normal.

I considered STD but that would be very upsetting because the only person I've ever had sex with is my boyfriend currently, and he was tested before we started having sex, so that would mean that he would have had to have sex with another girl while we have been dating, right?

Does it sound like anything any of you have ever experienced? Thank you so much for any of your help!

Make an urgent appointment to see your doctor.

The symptoms are very typical signs of Thrush.  The doctor will examine you and may take a swab.  He may also prescribe an antifungal medication for you to take by mouth and a pessary to insert into the vagina.

You can purchase what is called "combi" medication that comes with the cream and a pessary.  You can purchase these from the pharmacy without a prescription.

Do NOT have any sex until you well healed.  Fungal infections can be passed on to your partner.  Do not use soap, bath or shower gels to wash down below as this aggravates and makes the condition worse.

Wear cotton fabric pants and nothing tight and no tights.  Sweating and heat will encourage yeast overgrowth.  If you have recently been on an antibiotic, that can encourage yeast overgrowth

As a home remedy, after you wash yourself with water and got dried, you can apply natural set yogurt to your itching, but not into the vagina.

If you use condoms, you may have an allergy and it would be wise to use latex free ones.

As you have not had this before, I suggest you make an urgent appointment to see your doctor for him to diagnose your condition and prescribe the appropriate medication.

Wish you a speedy recovery.
