Vaginal rash

So this all started 3 weeks ago. I had some itching in the vulva area and so I shaved so I could get a better look at the situation down there. About 3 days later I decided to go get a yeast infection kit from the store. It was the Monistat one day treatment. I used it. I decided to go to the woman's clinic cause I wanted to make sure that I was doing the right thing. The Dr. there told me it looks like I have a chemical burn from the Monistat and gave me a Diflican pill to take and sends me on my way. A week goes by...I'm still in pain and discomfort down there that seems to be getting worse. I go back to the woman's clinic and she takes a look and says "you just look irritated down there and tells me to use diaper rash cream maybe it will help. At first sign anything was wrong I stopped shaving down there, stopped using soap, and also washed all my underwear in Dreft. So I know I'm not making it worse myself. It has now been 20 days since this started and it just seems to be getting worse by the minute. I just don't understand what is wrong with me. I feel like less of a woman and that no one can help me and I'm doomed to have this for the rest of my life. I am considering going to an actual Dr. instead of the free clinic but it will cost a lot of money cause I have very little health insurance. What kind of Dr. should I see if I do go to one? I want this gone before my boy friend comes home in 2 months. Please help me.

REALLY WOW what a crappy DR!!! MAYBE he's right tho. Just let it take it's course I guess. Sometimes things get worse BEFORE they get better.

I went to the Dr. Yesterday and they prescribed me clindamycin hcl and clotrimazole and betamethasone (a cream for the outside) and told me I definitely don't have an STD, both the clinic and the GYN told me it's definitely not an STD and neither of them even tested me for it so that idea must have been just sooo far off that it wasn't even worth testing me. The GYN told me that I have an infection inside as well and I told him I hadn't noticed any discharge or anything but he said there was discharge. I have to take these meds for a week and if it isn't better in a weeks time I need to go back in and see him. I think I learned my lesson about going to the woman's clinic instead of an actual specialist. I mean my insurance covered most of it...I payed only $70 for the Dr. visit and the prescription total. So yeah even if I'm not cured in the next week I feel so much better cause I feel like there is hope now and that someone cares enough to investigate further into this matter if these meds don't work.

Have you go into the DR???? I would go. Your body itching could be anything. Dry skin most likely. Or it could be in your head cause you are worrying SO much about it.

Now my entire body is itching and it's weird cause I have no rash or hives anywhere. I'm pretty sure I'm dying now.

It will. I just got a scratch from rough sex and it's been hurting for a few days sometimes itches too. It happens from time to time. Usually gets better in a bout a week or so. BUT the gyno will have a better idea of what it could be too. He/She can see down there better then we can. :) I wouldn't worry too much it's probably nothing bad.

Still not getting better. Have a Gyno Appointment on the 1st. I hate this. I have like no hope now that this will ever clear up.

LOL you'll be able to have sex again!!! Well I don't know. I use it anytime I'm having issues. Never had a problem with it of course I've NEVER asked anyone about it either.   Vaseline I KNOW you can use. It could just be your underwear rubbing against it funny. Once something is bother some anything can make it worse. They DO have vaginal creams too meant for that

I was told at the woman's clinic to not use anti-itch cream or anything down there except diaper rash cream. I'm on "vulva rest". I'm not even supposed to use like neosporin down there apparently it will aggravate it. And the poking isn't throbbing it's just my pubic hair growing back in that makes it hurt when it touches the sensitive bits down there. It's weird tho cause my pubic hair never hurt growing back in all the other times I shaved down there. It's driving me nuts. I feel like I'm probably going to never be able to have sex ever again.

It's probably just throbbing as far as the being poked part. That will happen if you itch it or its irritated. Try the vaseline for a few days and see how that helps. You could also use an anti-itch cream too. Just NOT inside.

It itches and also feels like I'm being poked down there or something.

So it like burns??? It could just be irritated. When that happens to me, I use vaseline for a couple days. NOT inside though. I'd say if it's still bothers you in a few days go to the DR. Cause sometimes you could have an infection and not have many symptoms.

No bumps, no smell, no watery discharge.

Well go to a gyno. That would be your best bet. Are there any bumps? Does it smell? Are you having watery discharge at all???
