Vaginal tearing; big concern?

Two days ago I had sex and as a result of dryness my vagina tore. The tear is just on the inside of the vagina entrance, I'd say about half an inch long. Initially there was a lot of blood and the following day lots of stinging, especially during urination. Today the cut looks as if it is sealing together and there is no pain during urination. It is slightly sore, and I'm washing it with water a couple times a day. Main question, is this something I should be concerned about enough to visit the doctor? Also, I've heard with some women the tear seems to go away then reappears with sex. How long do you think this sort of cut will take to heal? Lastly, what are signs that it could be getting infected?

Hi hun, im not positive a im not a doctor but the itching could be it healing, it could be like when u cut yourself and u start to get a scab, it sometimes itches a little so its possible. I would say as long as its not oozing (i know gross lol) or has any drainage coming from it i would say its prob not infected. Just make sure u keep yourself clean and dry real well after and wear loose fitting clothes for the time being <3

Hi Seeker Any itching round a wound inside you or outside you anywhere on you body is a sign of healing, but try this a nice warm sea salt bath, this will cleam and ade healing but let it get inside you, if you can do it twice daily till better, but lay off sex for a coup[le of weeks, when you do start again, use lots of lubrication.
Good Luck

Yes I'm on birth control and yes my gyno said that's why it's dry! *****!
Is itching a sign of it healing or an infection? Just terrified of getting an infection down there.

Hello hun, how are you? Let me start by saying my name is ashley and i am 19 yo. When i just turned 18 i started birth control. I noticed when on it my cervical mucus would dry up and i wouldnt get as wet duringsex. Are u on birth c? That could be the cause of the dryness and ive asked 3 gynos about that and they all said due to the birth c it can change ur cervical fluid. If not then im not sure anout the dryness but i can tell uou before i got off last april to start trying for a baby with fiance that there were several time i tore during sex. I went to the doc because i was worried. Luckily the tears werent too bad. If u are worried go to the gyno but i would deff suggest not having sex for atleast a week to 2 weeks to make sure u dont tear again or even more. Keep cleaning it for sure and i would say a sign of an infection would be if it swelled up and if it had discharge or pus coming out of it. So like i said see a gyno if u are worried and dont have sex for a while to be safe. Good luck and keep me posted and hope this helped a lottle
