Viginal Discharge

I have a yeast infection and I was wanting to know if anyone knew a cheap way to get rid of it?
I also want to know what type of douche is best to use? I have read that some are not good and cause a yeast infections. But I want to keep myself clean is there any other way to do that that doesn't cause any other problems?

Yogurt. If you really want a cheap solution, plain yogurt especially the kind specifically for digestive regularity or whatever will help.  Eat it but if you want the infection gone fast then stick some in a tampon applicator and shove it up into you.  Then go to sleep and in the morning the itching and burning will be gone and the discharge should have slowed significantly.  Some yogurt might show up again, but you'll recognize it.  Repeat this if you want to be sure or still itch a little.  Yogurt contains acidopholus bacteria which eats yeast and will therefore work almost everytime.

yes, i am another to agree with the above advice. if you are SURE is a yeast infection, go to the drugstore and get a 7 day cream insert. the 1-3 days just dont seem to work. buy a generic brand that is comparable to monistat. they are all pretty much the same except the cost. you'll probably spend $10 less.
try to avoid perfumy soaps too.

I have to agree with the other two ladies, do not douche.  I had a yeast infection in august.  I tried the one day monistat, but no relief. I went to the doctor and he said if I was going to try an over the counter drugs for that to you the longer dose of monistat, not sure if that's the 3 days or 7 day. I had to take diflucan anyway due to the severity of the infection.  good luck to you.

Well I'm Pretty sure it is.I have had one before but it was treated by the doctor because i was sick and he perscribed me something for that. This is only the 2nd one I've had but its white sticky substance and it doesn't really stink but it kinda itches it doesn't burn. I've looked for some symptoms and thats what I found under all the places I looked. If there is something else with the same symptoms please let me know. I would go to the doctor but I just started a new job and i won't get paid for like 2 weeks. I don't want to wait that long if you know what I mean?

douching is a horrible idea. Stay far far away. the vagina will naturally clean itself.. just wash it daily with warm water in the shower and avoid baths and stuff

Please DO NOT douche if you think you have an infection.  The force of the douche could make the infection spread beyond your cervix.  I would be leery of washing with anything but water and maybe a very mild soap.  There are many over the counter medications to use for a yeast infection if you are sure that is what you have.  Try eating a lot of yogurt or take probiotic supplements too.
