What does it mean if someone I know has one swollen clit

She has had it for a few months and never really noticed it until recently and it's never hurt buts its only on one side but she has had no sexual inter coarse. Could it be infection

You could have an infected hair follicle or a little cyst.  Try to keep your hands off of it.  It would hurt if infected and it's not currently.  But if you mess with it too much, you cOULD cause it to become infected.  Do you see an ob/gyn or doctor each year for a well check?  Is that appointment coming up?  I'd try not to worry about it and just ask your doc next time you see them.  good luck
