It took a year or so for me to believe the V was actually going to keep me from getting pregnant. But we also had a history of me getting pregnant if we hung our coats on the same hook! LOL

My DH's dad supposedly has one testicle (mumps as a kid) and also supposedly had a V. He remarried a 45 year old woman and she got pregnant, then miscarried, then got pregnant AGAIN and so my 39 year old husband has a 10 year old baby sister!! We don't associate with them for various reasons, but I swear I can't figure out which of them is full of doody.. Either he lied about his "stuff" or she has a stud on the side.LOL

Maybe I shouldn't have shared that story about the morons my poor husband has to claim as family.

Tell me more, is your right big toe bigger than your left? Do you suddenly have the urge to post a million times on random public forums asking about symptoms that could simply mean your period is about to show up?

On a side note, what is it with peoples husbands getting the big V done but not having the mental capacity to go back in and get their check-ups? How many women have come on here worried they are pg or after they have found out they are pg despite their dh having been fixed. And then only after they have been pressed it comes out that they never went back in. Why on earth get it done if you aren't going to make sure it was done right? I'd kill my dh if he did that!

Sorry had to vent a little bit ; )

Sadly, common sense and common courtesy are lacking in about 99.99% of the general public today.  Heck, they don't even respect themselves, so you know they don't respect anyone else.

Well, yes, I have to agree your number is closer to being correct than mine.  I actually was referring to this being the 11th month, therefore their 11th visitor this year I'm sure you know what I mean.  But, as I said, you are closer to home with 11,111.  Isn't it amazing how many people ask that same question EVERYDAY?

Yea she said she took 10 vicodin with the intent of killing herself and she didn't want to see a doctor b/c she didn't want anyone getting involved.  I'm glad she found this site though.  At least she reached out to someone.

Don't feel bad! With all the "am I preganante?" posts on here, I can see why you thought that!

Lord help me get my big ol foot out of my mouth.  Now that I have made an ass of myself, I believe I will shut my computer down and find something else to do for a little while.  Talk to you guys later.

with all the craziness that sometimes goes on around here, it was a natural assumption :)

You didn't make an ass of yourself.  How could you have known with all the characters on this site?  Anyway, this woman's comment was a first, at least for me, on this forum anyway. I was very concerned.

Okay, I'm back.  Did she say what was wrong, why she wanted to commit suicide?

No, she hasn't posted back.

If it makes anyone feel any better here, chances are it wasn't an actual suicide attempt. It may have been a cry for help, which still warrants attention, but if a person is really serious about committing suicide, they certainly aren't going to be coming on a forum posting about it. Well, unless it is a suicide forum but those only exist on TV, right? (poor attempt at sarcasm, sorry I am a little sleep deprived)

Anyway, hopefully they got whatever attention they were looking for. They say that while women "attempt" suicide more often than men, men are more "successful" as they go for the sure fire ways to do themselves in. It has been said the reason behind that is is that women may not really want to kill themselves, but rather seek out the attention that "attempting" suicide brings. If i am going to attempt suicide, I am not going to pop some pills and then go onto a website and post about it. If by chance I changed my mind after taking the pills, I am not going to care what the hospital staff thinks, I am going to get my ass there ASAP and deal with the consequences later.

So again, please don't get sucked into this and spend a lot of time worrying about it. As of late we have had way more than our fair share of trolls on here and over the years I have seen that nothing is off limits are far as what topics they will cover or lies they will tell. The sad thing is that oftentimes they can be really, really convincing and draw a significant number of women into their tale. Just a few years ago we had one who went double duty on Maternal Child not only claiming she had PPD and wanted to kill herself and her baby, but then she created another persona and claimed to be in labor only to come back and post the baby died. It all eventually came out as them both being huge lies after she screwed up while posting. I hate to think this website has made me so cynical, but it has. I'll gladly offer support to the many women on here, but thanks to the many trolls we have seen come and go over time, I keep my guard pretty high when a story seems a little over the top.

Anyway, that is my take on it. Sorry to be the Ice Queen on this, but I hate to see so many beating themselves up over something that could very well have been the work of a troll.

Thanks for being the "Ice Queen" as you called it. You made me feel better about coming back joking like I did anyway.  And since I have read your post, I have to agree.  Usually if somebody really wants to commit suicide, they do.  They don't talk about it, not to friends, family, or strangers they just do it.  Anyway, I really do hope she is okay though.  There is always that chance......

Excuse me, but surely you did not mean for the 11th time this year someone asking if they are "prignate;" you meant if I am not mistaken to say the "11,111th" time this year.

no telling if she was serious or not, but who wants to take the chance?

You'd think they would look in the archives or something, but I guess what they really want is someone to talk it all over with.  Too bad the long lists of symptoms that could mean any damn thing get so boring to read after a while.

Oh my God!  I don't know how these women who have been on here forever keep reading them.  Or have the patience to reply.  I don't usually even open them any more.  Unless I see a lot of replies!  Then I know the s**t has hit the fan again!
