What is wrong with me? I am getting worried........

Hello,
My name is Taylor, and before I explain my problem, I would like to state that I am on Estrostep birth control and have been for about 7 months, which i have not been taking THAT regularly lately, but regular enough, and my last actual period was about 2 weeks ago, which should leave me two more weeks to go before my next one, my periods are ALWAYS on time, and very regular.
So with that in mind, about a week ago, i started having bad cramps in my ovaries, just like menstral cramps, although my period had already ended over a week before, i blew the cramps off, and they still persisted. I went to the doctor, and she gave me a pelvic exam, std testing, and a pregnancy test, which all came back negative, and the only thing she told me was that there was some minor bacteria down there, and gave me a shot of antibiotics to clear it up. Well, the next day, i started having brown/red discharge, much like dried blood with some clots, but i am not sure if it is dried blood, and since then (the past 5 days or so) i keep having that discharge, almost like another period, and the cramps are still just as bad. Any ideas as to what is wrong with me? Could it be my irregular birth control? I am just getting quite scared here. Thanks for your replies!

I had the same thing I had my period 3 weeks ago and I started
Tuesday with brownish/red discharge.   I am still having it
today.  I called my doctor and they said to come in tomorrow if
it is still going on.  I will let you know what they say.  My
question is can the doctor tell where you are in your cycle through blood test or my an exam.?

If you're concerned and the pain is too bad to wait for another
doctor visit, I would go to the ER and get checked out.  You
might be experiencing a miscarriage.  I hope it isn't true!
