change in texture of skin on labial minora skin

I noticed the skin in the area of the (what I think is the labia minora) skin. It is the folds of skin on the opposite side of the clitoris towards the vagina but before you get that far. The two sides of the skin inside are rough in texture and before the skin was smooth. This seems to have changed within the last 3 weeks or so. I am peri-menopausal and haven't seen the skin as I don't have a mirror. But is this normal? the other parts of the skin near the clitoral head on the labial sides are smooth as are the labia majoral sides.
thanks,
mkh9

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be due to dryness of the area but if you notice any grey or white patches then lichen sclerosus should be ruled out. Lichen sclerosus is an uncommon disease of unknown cause that results in white patches on the skin, which may cause scarring, preferentually on and around genital skin. However it can cause ivory white dry patches on non genital areas also.

Confirmation can be done only after skin biopsy. In my opinion you should get this rash evaluated from a dermatologist and get a skin biopsy done.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

FYI, it is just dryness due to menopause. I have no white spots or bumps. The doctor says it is nothing to worry about. Thanks,

Hi,  I wonder if it could be a yeast infection? Do you itch in the vaginal area too? I would get it checked by a OBGYN If you can just to make sure there is nothing wrong. Sometimes it can be due to dryness and hormones. But since it itches and has bumps it may be something else.

Yes now i can feel the itch I scratched it actually ,, and looks like not normal
It could be a yeast. You can either see your doctor and have them determine what it is for sure. Or you can try over the counter yeast prep and see if it goes away. Does it itch in the vaginal area too?

Its getting worst i just saw last night
I would see a doctor. But you can try the yeast treatment. But, it is not in the usual area (vagina) though. So, best to have it checked.
Yes tomorrow morning i will have check up its inside the labia minora thanks :)
