Why am I spotting 10 days before my period?

Hi my last cycle began on 12/22 and only lasted about 4-5 days. My husband and I have had unprotected sex a few times from 12/28-1/3.  Last night 1/8 when I wiped I noticed a little pinkish color on the TP but very light. Then early this morning 1/9 there was some red spotting when I wiped. A little more than before so I assumed my period was here early but still thought it was weird and very early- 10 days?? Ever since this morning there has been nothing else- no spotting? Why would I spot for a few hours 10 days before my period is due??

I spotted 10 days before af as well .I still have about 1 week until  af is due I took a pregnancy test today and was a bfn (negative) :(. But I still have 1 week until my period so I know I am testing a bit early .i say that was implantation bleeding !! Gl and don’t test until u missed ur period because the outcome can be heart breaking.

Not too many people actually have implantation bleeding.  You read about it much more than you meet people who really had it.  However, keep your fingers crossed because yes, you tested too early.  It takes the average couple a year to conceive.  It's a bit of a roller coaster---  I've been there.  Your high because this might be the month, then low cause it wasn't and then high again . . .  but it will all work out, hon.  good luck

So on 1/10 I began bleeding but it only lasted 3 days and was very light. These past few weeks I've had severe bloating. Ive been trying to google alot of these things to find answers but one thing says one thing while another says something completley something different. I'm wondering if I could take a pregnany test now and see if I am pregnant since I don't really know when my next period is due- If I go 28 days from the light period it would be around Feb 8th (but this was an early period)

The same thing started happening to  me ever since my husband and I started trying to conceive, oddly enough. I thought for sure it was implantation bleeding, but then my period came a little less than a week later. I'm not sure what it is, but from my research it could be one of two things:

1) The embryo tried to implant and the conditions just weren't right for it to do so. I read that one cause of this could be low progesterone and bad timing, as well as some kind of physical imperfection of the embryo.

2) Sex can cause irritation and the bleeding may not show until a few days later.

Either way, I hope it's neither of those two for you and your period never shows! Keep us posted!
