aching legs

My legs ache.  They both hurt equally.  The aching often wakes me up in the middle of the night.Sometimes comes on in the middle of the day.  It usually takes 4 advil to help it.  Sometimes the advil doesn't work at all.  It is not sharp or shooting pain.  I only can describe is as aching.   I tried to tie it to my monthly cycle, all though I think it is worse at that time, it seems like it can happen any time in the month.   Maybe it is nutrition?   I just don't know.  It has been a problem for me for years, but gets worse as I get older.  I thank you in advance for any advice or help.
