I have been having bleeding and stomach cramps after sex. I also get spotting and cramps every other day. This has been happeing for few months now. I thought it was maybe because iv got the hormone implant in my arm but that wouldnt explain why im bleeding after sex. I know i have no STD's and im not pregnant so I dont know what it could be. I eventually worked up the strength today to speak to a doctor but when I phoned there surgery is closed until wed. Im worried as all my symptoms seem to relate to cervical cancer. Does anyone know what else this could be and should I be worried?

I wasn't bleeding during sex, but having sharp pains during intercourse. I have bad lower back pain, but with no STD's and no UTI. The Dr's finally figured it out yesterday. My Uterus and cervix are infected...and possibly my Tubes...due to a staff infection from an IUD that I had put in shortly after I had my daughter. I am being treated right now. The Dr's havn't called it PID yet...they said they will have to see the Ultrasound first. They did tell me though that anytime you have pain during sex, to contact yoor dr. right away, regardless of whether you have an IUD or not. So, I would go to your Dr. right away...if you do have an infection, and don't get it treated, it can turn into a full blown infection. My problem was I had UTI symptoms without infection and was going to the urologist, when I should have been going to a Gyno all along. Good Luck.

Have you had a pap smear recently?  Cervical inflammation can cause bleeding as weel as cervical cancer. There is not a big wall between the two as far as symptoms go.  I would call the doctor just satisfy myself.

In my opinion, anytime you have blood during sex you need to investigate and find out why.  I was also at risk for HPV.  I started bleeding one day after sex and now after 2 surgeries. I found out I have cancer of the cervix.  I am not by any stretch of the imagination saying that is what is wrong with you but you need to get checked if this continues.  Good luck and God bless
