I am trying to figure out what is my problem, because i have never been on birth control and I have been bleeding for 4 months straight now, yes 4 months.  i might have a day where the bleeding is light but it will not go away.  I have been getting really huge clots, i started taking pictures of them so when I get insurance and see a doctor , I can show him/her.   Any suggestions on what it maybe and what I can do until I can secure health insurance.  Other things that happen when I have days of clotting is light headed,  fatigue, and extremely cold.

my girlfriend was on the shot and she is bleeding a lot as well... she had her period and now she is still bleeding and it has been at least 3 weeks. do u think it would be better for her to switch to the pill immediately or wait before she goes back on birthcontrol

I had the same issue. I took the depo shot for 3 years. I would be period free for about 3 months, and then I would have a long one month period. If you can't think of anything else it might be, I would definitely consider switching birth controls, because I believe all the long bleeding has caused my diagnosed Anemia, as I didn't have it before I started the shot. I am on the pill now and I have had no more problems.
