burning sensations

hi! since october of last year i have been suffering from a burning vaginal sensation. it just happened literally right after i has my cycle in october. i thought std but came
back negative for everything. i found out o have hsv1 via blood test. the sensation has never stopped. i was told it was oral. i took a step further and had a vulva/vaginal biopsy done. that came up as just chronic inflammation. no hpv, no hsv, no cancerous cells. the entire time i have had no blisters,no lesions, no cuts and no obvious redness or swelling. no uti or anything. i was given clobetasol cream. it doesn't really seem to be helping. what are the odds that the biopsy didn't catch something? ana has anyone ever heard of anything like this before..i just really want some relief.

yea that's the thing. i've gone to the doctor on several occasions. even during cycles when the sensation has been the worst. never a single bump, cut, blister or even red area. doesn't burn to urinate, no itching. none of that. it has been a nonstop sensation. doesn't irritate to wash or anything. i've heard the biopsy is actually very accurate. it took 2 weeks for the results to come back. i took a blood test, so i know it's not hsv2. i'v

The biopsy wouldn't show anything unless u had a sore down there at the time. I know theres like a period of 1 week after they go away that they still shed a live virus, w/o any visible sores. So pretty much that biopsy didn't confirm aything. If u waited til it came back u could go in right away but I think you just have HSV-1 but on your vagina. I don't get cold sores on my mouth, & never have. I know mine look a little different than what I saw online when I was delving to figure out what I had. No like scary cauliflower stuff like they showed. My blister looked like small unraised cuts, thenhad a liitle white skin over them after a few days. They never scabbed up & never became anything like the HV-2 pics I had seen. Plus usually HSV-2 has clusters whereas my HSV-1 only ever has 1 or 2. They burned like hell tho, like tears on the toilet as I wiped. The stress is what they thrive on so try to relax a bit about it & it'll help keep them at bay. Meanwhile, keep it clean & dry down there. Wear cotyon underwear that'll help wick the moisture. You can get some meds for it too if u want. I will  say tho that itvs 5years later now & I hardly ever see any outbreaks anymore, unless I get sick w/a cold or flu & my immune system is down.I dealt w/the pain for months & months around right after every period. I didnt get any meds but i wish i had because I remember how painful it really wss. The outbreaks do become less frequent & less severe over the years.

I have HSV-1 as well, only on my genitals though. The two kinds can be transmitted to either site via oral sex. Or if your partner had the same strain on his genitals from receiving oral sex with someone w/a cold sore even years before u got together. The majority of ppl who have Herpes have no idea that they do. Guys usually think its just from  jock itch.
