7 weeks ago I had a baby and last week I was hospitalized , I had sharp abdominal pain in my right side(deep in my ribs).The ER doctor thought i had Gallblader problems. I had an ultrasound, a  Ct scan  but everything was Ok. I had a Pap -smear done also. After 2 days they said i had Chlamydia based on a Pap-smear test.My husband is my only partner that i had , my doctor said somebody gave the infection to me.During th pregnancy I was afraid to have sex (afraid I was gone hurt the baby) specially last trimester.Last time i had sex it was in february and baby was born in may.My last Pap-smear in september of 2006 was normal.I thing my husband has been" faithfull" to me(i dont trust anybody but myself). We have been together for 9 years.
Do u think i got the infection in february and the symptoms started couple months later(in June)after birth???!!!!!!!!!!
Can you get chlamydia other than sexually? Can you have that for couple years and not knowing???
Please help me with your opinions. it is really scary specially when i thing that i had that before i deliverd the baby and smth happend during the delivery.

Chlamydia can take years to show any effects or symptons. Most women dont know they have until a long time later. I too tested positive for Chlamydia. And my bf as well. We both were treated and tested again and it was gone. The only bad thing about it, is I know I gave it to my bf. However, he was very mature about the situation since it can happen to anyone. You can get it from doing oral/anal sex and using toys that are not kept clean. I would hope your boyfriend has been faithful but we all mess up and make mistakes. Just try to understand how it happened and how to prevent anything like this from happening again. Its easily treated. I hope you find some goodness from all of this and try to move forward im a positive light. Good luck.

You can catch it through oral and anal sex aswell. That's all I can help with im looking into it myself.

I know that you can have chlamydia and not know it. I got it when I was 18 and found out when I went to get on bc. My bf gave it to me. I would think that you can only get it through sex. But I also wonder if you could get it from a doctor that used maybe dirty tools or something. Did your hubby get treated also. I would say you got it sometime after september but you think your doctor would have noticed something durimg the pregnancy. I thought I heard that that kind of stuff can spread to your babys eyes but I may be wrong. Be strong and drill your hubby if you say that you have been faithful I would think him.. Best of luck..
