closed cervix

I have been on the depo shot for 5yrs and never recieved a period. a few years ago i had a lettz procedure and since that procedure i have found out that my cervix is closed up, im presuming from scar tissue as it was fine until after the procedure. a specialist advised me that once i was off the depo my cervix would go back to normal.. i have been off the depo for 4 months and last month got severe cramps and period pain but no bleeding, a recent ultrasound has shown an abnormal cervix which has a build up of stuff inside.. I am concerned about what dramas i am going to have now and whether or not it is going to cause problems when my partner and i want to have children! can any one help please

Thank you very much for the advise, I have seen my doctor who has now referred me to a gynecologist for further assessment. So I am now waiting on an appointment with the gynecologist.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,

If the ultrasound has shown some cervical abnormality then you should get your cervix examined by a colposcope and get a cervical biopsy done to confirm the diagnosis. Please get it done from a gynecologist at the earliest.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
