dark brown discharge
For the last 2 months I have been having a drk brwn discharge. but no real period in about 2 months. discharge is heavy one day and light the next but have a little abdomen pain. I have 2 kids both c-sections (tubes are burnt now, no kids possible), have had cyste on ovaries in past, problems with cramping and bleeding since Jr. high. Someone told me this was just my body getting rid of old blood. It has an oder to it also. I know I need to make an appointment w/the doctor, i am just wondring if anyone else has had this probem and what they were told. Thanks.
No, I don't have any of those other things. But I will look this PCOS up....it may be helpful.

I would guess that you have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). I see your next post about excess hair and that is also a sign. Do you have dry scalp, pimples, excess bodyweight? Those are also symptoms. PCOS is also related to insulin resistance. If you think you have PCOS, you should cut out as much sugar and carbs as you can to aleviate symptoms. A doctor could also prescribe Metforin (sp?) for the insulin resistance.
I could be completely wrong, but you can google PCOS and check your symptoms against those listed. It's a fairly common condition.
