I had f/u appointment with breast surgeon today and she said pain and numbness should subside in a week and full mobility will take about a month. its healing good, no swelling, exercise should be normal streaching,   she said if i feel pain when i move my arm in any direction..i should not try.  i can raise my arm up gradually day by day. hope it heals fast like she said..
oh she also said surgery was not close to major nerves, it was superficial layers,  only skin nerves were cut.  Now i only need to see her as needed.

Hi there.  I am three weeks post-op for bilateral axillary breast tissue removal as of today.  I STILL feel soreness and pain, don't have full mobility of my arms, and still have 'bulges'.  After reading all 666 comments on this website under another post about underarm breast tissue, it appears as though healing honestly takes at least 6 months.  I am starting physical therapy, per my breast surgeon, this coming Monday to restore mobility.  What you are explaining all sounds totally normal to me, especially only 6 days out.  I have propped my arms up/out with pillows to reduce all the chafing I was feeling (still do).  Let me know how your recovery progresses and I will do the same.  I'm just praying these bulges go away...
