fibroids and treatment

I just got a copy of my ultrasound report and my doctor is on vacation, my appointment isn't until 5/18.  Wondered if anyone could help me understand this report.  Trying to determine if I am going to need surgery at this point -

NDICATION: History of uterine fibroids. A previous pelvic ultrasonic
examination, performed on January 14 this year, demonstrated an enlarged
uterus with multiple uterine fibroids, and a "complex cyst" on the right
ovary which measured 3.5 cm in greatest diameter.
FINDINGS: Ultrasound examinations of the pelvis again reveal an enlarged
uterus, which measures 10.3 x 6.8 x 8.0 cm in size. Multiple uterine
fibroids are identified, the 2 largest of which originate from the right
fundus and right anterior wall of the uterus and measure 5.2 x 4.2 x 6 .0
cm, and 4.6 x 4.2 x 4 .5 cm, respectively. The endometrium is sharply
marginated, and measures only 6 mm in width.
The left ovary was normal in appearance, and measures 3.5 x 1.5 x 2.1 cm.
The right ovary measures 4.1 x 2.9 x 3 .0 cm, and once again contains a
relatively hypoechoic area within it which, nevertheless appears to
contain uniform, diffuse internal echoes, and measures 3.4 x 2.2 x 2.4
cm, and has not changed significantly since the previous ultrasonic
examination. This could represent a persistent complex cyst, but the
possibility of an endometrioma should be considered. There is no free
fluid in the pelvis.
IMPRESSION: Uterine fibroids and persistent right ovarian hypoechoic
area, as described above.

Glad to hear the surgery was easy- that is one of the things I am afraid of!  How long did it take for the surgery to be preformed and how long before you could get back to work and/or do normal activities?

Thanks,
Kelly
