how can i know if i lost my virginity?????

so this may sound silly but you must help me , I'm 22 year old ... me and my boyfriend decided not to have sex now , because I wanted to wait more time until I lose my virginity (yes I don't want to do it now :\) ... we do make-out but without having "real sex" if you understand ..

yesterday we were in a middle of something and we lost control .. he was moving fast and then i felt that he did something we were not supposed to do .. I pushed him away fast and went fast to the bathroom where I found small amount of blood .... I think he teared my hymen..... but can this happen this quick ?! because I pushed him away immediately after i felt he's in that zone .... I'm really confused and i don't even know if it the blood was from a cut or if i lost my virginity although it was not decided and it was not the right place or the right time ...

how can i know for sure ? and how far is the hymen ? I mean how deep must his penis enter to tear the hymen ???? any heeeeeeeeelp ?????

It is possible that the head of his penis tore some of the skin of your hymen.  You might also already have a hymen that is torn, if you have been using tampons.  (Per the previous poster, notice that using tampons and breaking your hymen tissue does not count as no longer being a virgin.)  We don't live in medieval times where a young woman will be killed or no longer marriageable if she is not a virgin, please don't stress yourself over the fine-tuning of the definition.  You can still count yourself a virgin or not.

ps -- But if you do want to stay a virgin, don't let yourself "get into the middle of something" where a penis is near your vagina.  Your concerns about whether your virginity was lost with proper timing will seem to you to be small potatoes if you suddenly get faced with a pregnancy dilemma.

If you look up the definition to virgin its a person that has never had sexual intercourse. It doesnt say anything about your cherry being popped. So if you feel like you had intercourse then no you are not a virgin anymore,
