I am a 30yr. I never had a regular cycle. It would always range from 28-36 days. I am moderely anemic. Ive only had the Paragard in for about a year. While the IUD was in my cycles were longer and heavier than when I didnt have it in. Sometimes lasted up a month. Took the IUD out about 3 weeks ago. 2 days before removing the IUD I had finally stopped my period. Since then I havent gotten my period back. Does it usually take a while to get back on track(cycle) once the Paragard is out?

hi everyone whom is on this birth control IUD I have had this in place for around 4 years now. I really dislike it because I have that constant prego feeling like something is there and when I take home pg test they come back ---- yup seen my doctors saying that everything was looking good come to my knowledge she cut the strings too short for me to even feel and I was always in doubt that something was wrong, well let it at that and now some 2 years later I start to get shorter and shorter periods. to the point that it just stopped ,don't get me wrong but our periods might be a pain in the butt,  BUT  I know that my body is cleaning it self out . but now I have been 3 months no period it ***** "I look like big balloon , crazy mood swings , pain in my stomach . and major back pain.. I had enough of this I had my hubby pull it out and what a relive that was and now to wait for a old visit of mother nature... and I will keep you all up dated on how this is going....

I have been reading a lot of comments on when you should/could get your period after you get your IUD removed. But most of the women had their IUD for months even years.
As for me I only had mine in for 4 days in February until I had to get it removed because I had all the side effects. It took a week to get the fever and infection under control.
I started getting cramps just last week but no blood.
I will ask my doctor but I'm just wondering if anyone else has been through this like myself. And if so when did you get your period back.

Thanks in advance.
