I've been wondering the same thing about how long to wait after m/c and seems variable advice on the subject but no real research to back it up. I had an early m/c with no need for a D& C and eager to try to get pregnant again. I've been told to wait at least one cycle and others told me a few cycles. I also read stories of women who got pregnant again right after a m/c and had a normal prgenancy. I'm trying to compromise and not be stupid rushing it but I'm 36 years old so can't wait too long. I figure waiting one cycle is good. One doctor told me it's only for dating the pregnancy if you don't wait, but I do daily at home ovulation test so will know when I ovulate and can date it from that. It seems doctors say to wait just to play it safe yet no real risks involved if do it too soon. So, again my plan is to wait one cyle and some of it is out of my control when I ovulate again on a regular schedule or late.

i just had a d&c in april and i was almost 11 weeks. my dr is making us wait till i have 2 normal af. i have had 1 just waiting on the next. they say to wait atleast 2 af's so it will give your uterus time to heal and build up the lining again. some dr will recommend waiting longer though. did your dr give you any guide lines. no you cant give your husband an infection unless you have an infection of some kind. i think they say use condoms to prevent pregnancy so soon. you are suppose to wait atleast two weeks after the d&c to have sex at all. me and my dh are usuing condoms but only for protection of pregnancy until i have one more af.
