i feel something wierd in side my virgina

im on my period and i wasent shure if i had a tampon in so i stuck my finger in there and i felt this thing sticking about an inch or two out of the wall it was about the size of a tampon but it was surrounded by skin and the end felt like well a butt hole. it scared me. my husband said its always been there but ive never felt it before. could it just be that i am on my period so it is swollen?  i dont want to feel like a jackass if it is normal but i am scared ********.

I agree with the other posters...it's just your cervix, where your period comes from. Look up female reproductive organs on google and the second link down gives pictures and explanations as to what everything is.

That is where your period comes from. It's the opening of the cervix. I hated health class at school. They just handed us "pads and tampons" and never really explained anything, of what was in there or the whole process. I remember being 11/12 wondering what in the world I would do with a tampon. lol.
