I am a insomniac caused by thyroid problems. I found that magnesium before going to bed helps give me a restful and peaceful sleep. You know if you have too much or your body doesn't need it when your stools are looser and you have some knots. If that doesn't work I go for a glass of wine.
Hi:
First of all, ahhh, poor baby ;-)! I'll be there soon too...errr!
Anyway, Estrovan or Remifemin. You can get it at any local drug store or even the grocery store I think. My doc actually recommended it to me because when I had some surgery I had menopausal symptoms for a while. It takes a couple of weeks to get in your system good, but it evens out all the sleep and night sweat stuff. Hope this helps and good luck!
Hi. I am only 27 so I'm not sure what it is like to go through menopause but I can say I have had bad insomia in the past. My doctor prescribed Ambien and that really helped. You should bring up your insomia to your doctor and see if there is something he or she can prescribe to help you sleep. I know anytime I mentioned not being able to sleep to my doctor he was concerned and kepted trying different medications until something worked. I no longer take sleep medication but when I did need it, it really helped. I know how much it affects your day when you are so exhausted that feel unable to function. Best of luck to you.
