Well bacteria can grow in any warm moist environment on the body, no matter being overweight or not. I would say it's a factor but other factors play a part to. Sweating alot and the area being moist for the majority of the day is a major contributing factor. Try wiping the area with babywipes and use babypowder to keep it fresh and dry. Good luck BB

Dear sqidgey
No need to be embarassed.
And I do not think your weight is a factor. It may be that you have a small infection so best to see your Doctor
Usually after a bath I take a Q-Tip and very gently swab area with rubbing alcohol. Then dry thoroughly and dust lightly with baby powder.
Good Luck!
And remember all these bodily functions, smells and all ,are part of the natural human body.
