large, painful lump

I have a large painful lump on the right lip of my vagina. It has been there for a few days. It hurts to move, sit, lie down, stand, and walk (Just the lump itself). It gets bigger everyday. This sounds stupid, but I am not confortable with going to a gyno yet, so I want to avoid that. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be and how to get rid of it?

Thank you! I took a hot bath yesterday and tried to pop it but it wouldn't pop. Then out of no where it popped this moring while I was sitting on the couch. Thank you for the information. I will do just what you say if I ever come across this problem again. Thank you

To me it sounds like a cyst.  What type of cyst now, I do not know.  It could be a bartholin's cyst or a sebaceous cyst.  Try putting hot compresses on it.  The hot compresses help to draw whatever is in it out.  If it does not get any smaller you should see the dr.  They may need to lance it (that is cut it open or poke it open with a needle) to drain the pus out.

What is that? And how can I take care of it? That pain is worse this morning. I cannot move at all without being in pain. The lip is swollen.

It could be inguinal hernia.
