large lump

last thurs nite a very large lump came up just inside my vigina. the whole area was swollen and very painful. i seen my gp on friday morn,who just gave me an antobiotic. some swelling has gone down,but has left some brusing. the lump is still there and i find it hard to walk or sit down. i also recently have been tested for STI' s which were all negitive.thank god. this looks like a cyst. should i go to A& E ?

Inside the vagina we have barthalin glads.  These glads secret small amounts of fluid.  I have heard we women can get berthalin cysts at the glad sight.  I would think they could also get infected.  If the lump has not gone away with antibiotics, it may been then a cyst only.  If the cyst remains and is painful still, I would consult with your GYN again for a follow-up.
