light and irregular period

This was the first time I missed my period for more than a month. 4days ago, I started to have spotting until today. But not as heavy as my previous menstrual flow. I was wondering so I had my BP checked. Its 90/60. Most of the time I easily get light-headed when I'm working. I also have bruises on one of my leg. Could this be anemia? And is this the cause of having spotting and little/irregular period?

Thank you very much. I remembered I had unprotected sex but it was on the second day of my period. I took pregnancy tests this month but all were negative. And I do not have symptoms of pregnancy. I also felt a lump on my left lower abdomen just along my pelvic bone. Could this be my ovary? And could this be a cyst? And recently I am having increased clear and watery discharge especially when I bend over. It feels like a pee.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,

There are several reasons why a woman have delayed menstruation and this could be due to unhealthy diet, stress (emotional or physical), sudden weight gain or loss, caffeine, alcohol, and smoking. Gynecological conditions like polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), and uterine cysts or polyps, can also bring about alteration in menstrual cycle. Even sickness and stress associated with it can delay periods. However, pregnancy is still the most common cause of delayed or missed period.

So if there is a history of any unprotected intercourse then pregnancy should be ruled out.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
