missed period, light spotting, days late what gives?
hello board, i'm 31, have pretty stable periods. they run about a 30 day cycle. so far i'm 6 days late, no possibility of being pregnant as i have not had sex and i have had the sore breasts, slight cramping etc. all the signs i usually get before my period but nothing. i have had a few spots of brown blood but that's about it. i have only missed one period since my cycle began as a teenager, so should i be concerned? thanks all!
thank you so much for your reply! my pesky period showed up a week late. it was completely normal, not sure what caused it but it came. :) guess the body isn't a machine.

Delayed or missed period is known as amenorrhea. Apart from pregnancy, there are many other reasons for a delayed period. The other causes are hormonal imbalance like in PCOS (Polycystic ovarian syndrome), stress, obesity, malnutrition, anemia, hypothyroidism, illness, etc. You should consult a gynecologist and get investigated for these causes.
